For those individuals who seriously doubted the potential of Twitter, and failed to understand its purpose and part in the social networking world, last week’s events are here to make an important statement. A Plane crashed in the Hudson last week, and the first news about it came about thanks to one guy, who on his way to rescue the passengers, snapped a photo of the plane on water, and tweeted about it. That picture was downloaded at an incredible speed in an extremely short period of time. That guy has thousands of followers now, and has even been interviewed by the media. All because of Twitter. Before CNN, or any other major news source brought the news to the world, via TV, or the Web, Twitter got the job done instantly.
