I’m not sure if this is for better or for worse but I recently realized that a site can get a lot of traffic if a term is spelled incorrectly. This is because anyone searching for the incorrect spelling will surely come across your site since most other sites using that term will have spelled it correctly. Still you will be the number one site that these people are directed to when searching for the misspelled word. Though they may correct their spelling and be directed elsewhere, they still will have stumbled across your site. Food for though I guess.
