The other day I had an argument with a friend on the topic of Bluetooth speakers. He was completely for the idea while I was slightly against it. The reason for my hesitation is the following: although it is extremely cool and helpful to have music playing from a speaker without even having to connect your iPod to the device, there are drawbacks. First of all, there is no dock so you can’t charge the device while it plays. This means it will run out of battery and pretty fast since Bluetooth eats away the battery. Second of all, iPods don’t have Bluetooth so this means you would have to buy the adapter and the speakers. This is not only an added expense but the adapter takes away from the iPod’s looks as well.
