Once upon a time, the better speakers and stereo systems were the larger ones; the ones that took up half a room. Over time they got smaller and smaller, and now that the home music industry has been taken over by the tiny MP3 players, they are disappearing. These devices can be put into a number of different speakers, many which are quite compact. The better ones do happen to be the slightly larger ones but they are still significantly smaller than the older stereo systems, and the sound is amazing. So the question is, is smaller really better? Or, are we just compromising on the quality of the sound?
