It has been some time since Blu-Ray was declared the winner of the battle between Blu-ray and HD DVD, and yet there are have not yet been major steps taken towards the transformation from DVD to Blu-Ray. This may be for a number of reasons, among them the fact that the Blu-Ray machines are going for a lot of money, more money than consumers are willing to pay for a technology that seems very similar to the one they already have and are rather happy with. Unless some other measures are taken, the Blu-Ray transformation will be indefinitely delayed.
