People all over the world have their personal information on the Internet, including their Social Security numbers, ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, names, and credit card data. Many may be under the impression that this information is safe on the Web, but it is not. There are “phishers” who send fraudulent emails asking for one’s information, or who put spyware on people’s computers, and get the information. With this information in hand, they can do with it as they please.

The police have just caught a bunch of these “phishers.” This however is not the end to the phenomenon. One need make sure there information is as secure as possible at all times.
