Instant messaging has become a very popular form of communication over the past decade. It all started with ICQ, then continued with AOL, MSN and eventually Google Talk. Lately, however a new type of IM is being developed, mobile instant messaging. There are many types of mobile instant messaging. Applications that the operator pre-installs on the handset, downloadable applications and now there are even Web based instant messaging programs. IM is really no longer something one does when in front of their pc. It has become much more than that.
