Science is a systemized knowledge of any one department of mind or matter or simply put – the study of things around us. This would include specific fields of study such as chemistry, biology, physics, genetics, geology, psychology, sociology and others that seek to analyze interactions, behaviors, physical properties, effects and causes of such things. Technology, for its part, generally refers to items of use as created from applied science. In essence, technologies are things made from application of scientific knowledge but can also be used to discover unknown sciences.

Science and technology are distinct from one another but are so closely related that one cannot totally speak of one without mentioning the other.
