TÜV Rheinland recently conducted a test on various ink cartridges to find out if companies were being completely accurate about the kind of use consumers could expect to get. Apparently, a lot of them were not.
TÜV Rheinland tested big brands including Epson, Lexmark, Canon, HP, Kodak, and Brother. They weighed each cartridge at the start of the test, and at the end—when printers flashed the message that it had run out of ink.
Epson was the most efficient ink cartridge, giving 80% efficiency per cartridge. Kodak Easyshare floundered, wasting an average of 64% of its ink. Something to think about before you print out those family photos.
