Biodiesel as a Choice

Using biodiesel for vehicles is probably the most environmentally friendly option. Its use decreases most pollutants by at least half thus decreasing net greenhouse gas emissions. The fuel is not as harmful to humans or to the environment if accidentally spilled as compared to gasoline. There are also more vehicle choices wherein it can be used. Older diesel powered vehicles can be cheap while the upcoming versions will be cleaner, emission-wise than comparable gas engines.

There are some setbacks however like unreliable availability. There may also be a need to blend it with diesel in winter usually at 50 – 50 ratio. Older diesels, notwithstanding its cheap price produce dirtier emissions than gas models.
