Halo 3’s release was met with success as fans waited in massive lines outside New York. A day before the release it looked like the fan turn out was going to be pretty disappointing until the crowd swelled to include hundreds of excited fans a few hours before the opening. While non-gamers might not be fully be able to appreciate the fans’ excitement anyone knows what Halo 3 is thanks to the “Halo 3 hype machines” that have been going overdrive for the last several months. This is of course expected since Microsoft hinges much of the Xbox 360’s success on this game.
