Mathematics puzzles have provided a source of intellectual challenge for people of all ages. Sudoku, a puzzle patterned after crosswords and equally as difficult, is perhaps the most popular of all the numbers-based puzzles today.

Based on a very basic concept of assembling non-repeating numerals from 1-9 in each line, it also is one of the more complex puzzles around. The difficulty comes when the puzzle has more blank boxes than filled ones. No wonder then that sudoku has also made its appearance in computer games!
