We recently signed up for a new blogging network called payperpost. If you haven’t heard of them yet, they have developed a unique system which allows bloggers to make money simply by reviewing and writing about certain sites and products. The idea behind their network is the concept of buzz marketing where advertisers post opportunities for bloggers to review their product who then get paid for it from the advertisers. It’s a pretty cool idea since everybody comes out ahead. Advertisers get one of the best type of advertising possible and generate a buzz among the online community (as opposed to bland banner ads which scream advertisement and tend to be ignored). Bloggers obviously benefit from this system too since they get paid for doing what they do anyway – update their blog. And if done right, the blog’s readers benefit as well since they get good reviews and recommendations of new products and services.
Signing up for the system is pretty easy and after you are approved into the system there are a number of advertiser opportunities available to blog about. Most of the opportunities are blocked for me at the moment since there are certain Google Pagerank and Alexa score requirements for most of the opportunities. The site says they update each blog’s Pagerank and Alexa score every 48 hours but so far it has been over a week and my blog still has a zero on both (even though we rank a PR4 and 325,000 Alexa score). I guess I will give them a few more days and if nothing changes I’ll contact support. In the meantime there are a number of opportunities I can still take that don’t have these requirements established so stay tuned and be on the lookout for our reviews.
